Small Business Success/Jobs Creation
As an entrepreneur, Wil understands the challenges facing small business owners in an economy that simply cannot recover quickly enough. Government regulation has become so burdensome today that small businesses cannot grow quickly or hire freely. Wil believes the fastest way to get our economy back on track is for America’s elected leaders to downsize government, expand the free market and eliminate growth-inhibiting regulation.
Once upon a time in this country, American workers used to be able to expect a decent salary, solid benefits and at least a cost-of-living raise annually. Today, those expectations are gone and things like raises have become rare perks, instead of the norm. Out on the campaign trail, Wil met hundreds of Arizonans who all told the same tale: It’s too hard to make ends meet. We need leadership that gets out of the way and allows entrepreneurs and visionaries to create more jobs more quickly.
Improving Education
Wil is a product of public education in Arizona. His excellent education provided him the opportunity to attend prestigious private institutions for his undergraduate and graduate work. Sadly, for too many students, Arizona’s public school system has not maintained that same level of excellence. In fact, many of our children cannot pass basic math and reading tests. Arizona’s future rests in the hands of our children. That means we cannot allow this disturbing trend to continue.
Wil understands that change in education needs to come from the public and private sector, as well as in the home, and he’s dedicated to be a force for positive change – the sort of leader we need to get our education system back producing a competitive work force for tomorrow.
Quality of Life in Arizona
Arizona is a state built on hard work and determination – a harsh land tough to settle and tough to prosper in. Arizonans know it takes blood, sweat and tears to achieve the American Dream and we aren’t afraid of that fact.
But, these days, it seems even hard work and sacrifice won’t ensure a better life for future generations. It seems we’re being robbed of the American Dream. Wil is dedicated to making sure that doesn’t happen. He’s dedicated to helping get our economy back on track, so that we aren’t the first generation to leave things worse than we found them.
